“This isn’t just about President Trump, but this is literally about the 75 million Americans” – White House Aid
President Donald Trump’s Twitter and Facebook accounts were suspended last week. Then the attack began on the website his followers flocked to, especially Parler. Google and Apple illegally removed the Parler app from their online marketplaces, believing that section 230 only protects liberal sites and not conservative sites. On Saturday, Amazon announced that it would remove Parler from its web services. This will cause Parler to go down until they can find a new web host. Section 230 protects Twitter and Facebook but somehow does not protect Parler in a lawless America.
“Big Tech and Capitol Hill Democrats seem to have the magic ability to galvanize the Republican base in a way that only they know how to do” – White House Aid
“For months, President Trump has been using social media platforms to seed doubt about the results of the election and to undermine the will of voters. We understand the desire to permanently suspend him now, but it should concern everyone when companies like Facebook and Twitter wield the unchecked power to remove people from platforms that have become indispensable for the speech of billions – especially when political realities make those decisions easier.” – ACLU senior legislative counsel Kate Ruane
Trump is also expected to issue a raft of pardons, travel to the border wall, and sign some executive orders in his final days in office.Source: Daily Wire
